Jun 09 Wed          Fly to Erzurum                                                                                     3 nights

Transfer to the Istanbul Airport for TK 662 07:35 flight to Erzurum. Arrive Erzurum at 09:30 am. Meet and transfer to the Oral Hotel for check in.

Sightseeing in Erzurum, the largest city in the eastern Anatolia. Visit the Seljuk monuments in Erzurum. Dinner at hotel. (B,D)

Drive to Kars, small city which is a beautiful example of Russian urbanism of the 19th century. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Kars. (B,D)

Jun 12 Sat            Kars---Ani--- Dogubayazit                                                1 night

Morning visit Ani, the capital city of an Ourartéens State, and later of the Armenian Bagratid Kingdom from 953 to 1045 AD. Among the ruins

of this ancient city there are eight churches, a convent and a citadel along with the main cathedral which has alternately been a church or a

mosque. Drive to Dogubeyazit, the closest town to Mt. Ararat. Dinner at hotel in Dogubeyazit. (B,D)

Visit the famous 17th century Ishak Pasha Palace, built on a high valley overlooking the caravan route.

Drive to Van, situated on the shores of Lake Van, at 5,500 feet, one of the highest lakes in the world. Dinner at hotel in Van. (B,D)

Visit the St. Croix church, a beautiful example of Armenian architecture. This church is located on the Akdamar Island. Dinner and overnight in Van. (B,D)

Visit the Agzikarahan Caravanserai from the Selcuk period. Drive to Ankara, the capital city of Turkey, via Salt Lake. Visit the Anatolian Civilization

Museum and the Mausoleum of Kemal Ataturk in Ankara. (B,D) 

Jun 21 Mon          Ankara – Gordion – Istanbul                                                            3 nights

Visit Gordion and drive to Istanbul. Tonight Dinner at outdoor Seafood restaurant in Kumkapi district. This is the end of regular program(B,D)

Jun 22 Tue           Istanbul  Regular program participants will be transferred to Istanbul Ataturk Airport for return flight. Rest of the group continue to explore Istanbul. Visit classical sites in Istanbul; Blue Mosque, St Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Underground Cistern, Grand Bazaar. Evening is free. (B)

Private Bosphorus Boat Tour, Rustem Pasha Mosque and Grand Bazaar. Farewell dinner. (B,D)

Jun 24 Thu           Fly home

Transfer to Istanbul Airport for flight back home. (B)
