Although your current form of payment is perfectly acceptable for booking travel, we would like to introduce you to an exciting option. The American Express® Business Travel Account (BTA) is a card-less, central billing mechanism that consolidates your air and rail travel expenses. The tickets are billed monthly to a single account number assigned by American Express®. Each transaction is listed by location, department, division or cost center to conform to your company’s organizational and accounting structure. The Business Travel Account also provides

	Extended Float – Your company will be paying for air travel just once a month. There is an average of 55 days float between the charging of an expense and the time that the bill must be paid
	Increased Control – The centralized information is easy to track.
	Reduced Paperwork – You can realize substantial savings in processing costs.
	Airline Default Protection – The Airline Default Protection Plan provides added security in today's unstable environment.
	$200,000 Business Travel Insurance – During business travel, your traveler will be insured for $200,000 24-hours and door-to-door. Full coverage is in effect for up to 30 days. Travelers are covered on their return trip for trips that exceed 30 days.
	Baggage Insurance – Employees traveling automatically receive baggage insurance up to $1,250 for checked luggage and up to $500 beyond the carrier’s settlement for carry-on luggage. All baggage is covered to and from the terminal, and within the terminal.
	Global Assist® Hotline – In personal, medical or legal emergencies over 100 miles from home, Global Assist® Hotline offers 24 hour referral service.
